Burn Files To A CD With Windows XP
The Easiest Way To Burn Files With Windows XP
Here are the directions for the easiest way to
burn files to a CD with Windows XP.
-
Place a blank CD-R or CD-RW in the burner.
-
Go to the file(s) to be burned and right
click on them.
-
Put you mouse on "Send To" a pop up window will show,
then select your CD burner drive. (See below)
-
An icon may appear down by the clock that
says; "You have files waiting to be burned".
-
You can click on the icon or open the disk
to show the files waiting to be burned.
-
Click on "File" in the upper left corner of
the window.
-
You will see the choice to "Write the files
to disk", click that and the wizard will pop up to help you.
-
The disk, by default, will want to put the
date in as the name of the disk, but you can name it what ever you want.
-
The disk should eject when it is done.
Remember: this is for data or files,
not for
music that will be played. That is another lesson.
