Remove Those Annoying Balloon Tips In XP

1. Bring up the “run” command box and type in regedit then click OK.

You are looking for a certain registry key that will disable the tips.  For advanced users go to this key and skip to tip 9.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

 8. Advanced

9. In the right window right click on an empty space and create a New DWORD Value.

10. Type in the name EnableBalloonTips then push “Enter” on the keyboard.

11. Close everything and restart the computer to complete the process.  The Balloon Tips should be gone.
